24 February 2011 - German engineering group Siemens AG (ETR:SIE) said today its Siemens IT Solutions and Services unit will expand its partnership with Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT).
?he companies will jointly develop and market hybrid cloud solutions for medium-sized and large companies, which will be based on the upcoming Office 365 public cloud package, Siemens said.

The development of joint hybrid cloud solutions by SIS and Microsoft in the scope of the cooperation covers the areas of security, data processing, legal regulations, licensing and technical integration.

The hybrid cloud is a mix of public cloud applications and private cloud data centre services.
