Pacifica Hotel Company Rolling Out Free Wi-Fi Services at Its Hotels.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Pacifica Hotel Company, which operates 23 quality California hotels from San Diego to the San Francisco Bay Area, is rolling out free wireless high-speed Internet (Wi-Fi) access for guests at its properties.

"Whether they are traveling for business or pleasure, our guests like to be able to stay in touch and they will soon be able to access the Internet free of charge from any location inside our hotels," said Pacifica Hotel Company President Dale J. Marquis.

"In keeping with our policy of providing free amenities such as local calls, 800 numbers and fax services, guests will be able to check their email or surf the Web from their rooms, meeting rooms, public areas or poolside at no charge."

Full high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access is already available at most of Pacifica's hotels, with the remainder scheduled to come on line in the near future. Pacifica hotels are also providing "loaner" Wi-Fi cards free of charge to guests who do not have them. Guests whose computers are Wi-Fi enabled may simply log on from anywhere on the hotel property.

Pacifica has partnered with San Diego-based SkyRiver Communications for installation of its Wi-Fi network, which utilizes the latest technology for complete coverage.

Pacifica Hotel Company was formed in January of 1993 to consolidate the hospitality operations of Invest West Financial Corporation, which has been involved in the acquisition, development, refurbishing and operating of quality hotel properties for 35 years. Pacifica's 23 independent and flag properties in key California cities from San Diego to San Francisco feature outstanding locations, AAA 3-diamond ratings, upgraded amenities and high standards of guest service.
