NSW: Death sparks call for greater caution on quad bikes
A 12-year-old boy has died in a quad bike accident on a New South Wales southern highlands farm.
The boy suffered massive head injuries when the trailer he was in .. pulled by the
quad bike .. overturned and rolled down an embankment.
The accident happened at the Jerrong property .. 30 kilometres south-west of Oberon
.. this morning.
The boy died at the scene .. while two other children .. also riding in the trailer
.. escaped with minor injuries.
A 46-year-old man .. from northern Sydney's Hornsby Heights .. was driving the quad
bike .. which also rolled.
He's has back and abdominal injuries and is being treated at Nepean Hospital.
